The Gainesville Circus Center is a 501(c)3 non-profit social circus. Our mission is to build community through quality instruction and performance of circus arts. As a social circus, we aim to provide circus arts experiences to all, especially at-risk youth, who stand to benefit the most from circus arts. We understand “at-risk youth” to be those facing disadvantages dues to socioeconomic status, race and gender orientation.
Circus arts have the power to build strength on physical, emotional and mental levels and to promote cross-cultural and inter-generational collaboration. From aerial silks to trapeze to group acrobatics, Gainesville Circus Center is dedicated to teaching circus arts to anyone willing and interested in learning for the purpose of bettering their physical, mental, social and spiritual self.
Gainesville Circus Center offers aerial and acrobatics classes, camps, workshops, and performances for kids and adults. Our school accepts both recreational and professionally minded practitioners of circus arts.
In our classes, you’ll find aerial silks, dance trapeze, lyra, acro-dance and more. We also offer a flying trapeze program. Although many of our students are recreational practitioners, we do provide a professional training program and instructor certificates in aerial arts.
The Gainesville Circus Center admits students of any race, color, national and ethnic origin to all the rights, privileges, programs, and activities generally accorded or made available to students at the school. It doesn’t discriminate on the basis of race, color, national and ethnic origin in administration of its educational policies, admissions policies, scholarship programs, and other school-administered programs.
